Hello everyone. I am about to purchase a MacBook Pro from the new series just released. I work as a photographer and to me it is important that the laptop opens up 65MB files for editing without hesitation. I currently am working on my home Imac, which has the following config.:

iMac
iMac8,1
Intel Core 2 Duo
3.06 GHz
Cache L2: 6 MB
Memory: 4 GB
bus speed: 1.07 GHz
+ATI Radeon HD 4670 256MB GDDR3 SDRAM

Of course, as I travel a lot, in terms of portability the 13" would be preferred, but I seem to understand that it is the only version that does not have a dedicated memory for graphics. Any suggestions??? Can the new 13" with its most powerful config. compare even without a dedicated graphics card?

13": 2,7 GHz
* Intel Core i7
dual-core a 2,7GHz
* 4GB a 1333MHz
* 500GB a 5400 giri/min1
* Intel HD Graphics 3000
* Batteria integrata (7 ore)2

Thanks for your help and suggestions!!!
best pietro

The graphics chip and memory won't make a difference for photo editing work, so there is no need to worry about that. One issue I see with the 13" is that it has a rather low resolution for photography work. If you go that route, I would buy a faster hard drive to put in, as that will speed up load times, and if money isn't an object, an SSD wouldn't be a bad idea either.
