Which MacPro is better for running Matlab and Simulink

Hello. I am considering to buy a MacPro to run Matlab and Simulink.

1. Is there a performance increasing in using the 8-core 2.26GHz system
rather than a 2.66GHz Quad-core system?

2. Will a 2.93GHz Quad-Core system runs faster than a 2.26GHz 8-core
system?

3. Do you expect there will be high performance increase running the
software on the the up-coming MacPro? I wonder if it is worth to wait
for 1-3 more months.

4. How is the performance of a HP Desktop PC (with i7-860 Quad Core) compared with a
2.66GHz Quad-core MacPro?
