Which MBP?

Hello everyone,
I am trying to decide between which mbp to get for my 8th grade grad in june.

2.4 GHZ intel core i7 17 inch refurb
4gb 1333 mhz ram
750 gb HDD
Amd Radeon HD 6770M 1Gb

OR

2.6 ghz intel core i7 15 inch (maybe refurb as its cheaper)
8Gb 1600mhz Ram
750 gb hdd
Nvidia geforce gt 650M 1gb

Please also tell me your experiences with refurbs if you have any.

Get the 15". Much much MUCH more portable. Later on you can get an external display if you want more screen real estate. Great gift!

15" is a gen newer, so it is quite a bit more powerful in CPU and GPU. More ram is also a huge plus. You are also getting USB 3.0, which will help a lot with expandability.
