Memory is in two banks, bank 0 and bank 2 - anyone know which is which - is 0 the one at the back?

Reason being I've finally got 16GB Crucial ram to work in one slot but the other slot is showing empty so I obviously haven't got the other 16GB seated properly. This is annoying as both seemed to slot in OK. It's Bank 2 that's showing empty.

PS Am running on the single 16 GB card now and have to say it's a huge improvement over the 8 GB base ram on this i7.

OK got it working after a bit of swapping about. For the record, bank 2 is the uppermost bank; bank 0 is the one nearest the motherboard.

The most difficult part of the memory installation is attaching the wifi antenna as the cable is stupidly short but you can pry the cable off the antenna cover to give some more length.

Attaching the rubber boots on the memory guides is a bit tricky, especially the right hand side. Seating the memory properly is very important. Press down fairly hard evenly and push backward once in.

When booting, if you are running off the HDMI port you may not see anything - pull the cable out of the Mini port and re-connect. I have dual monitors - I found it was booting ok on a usb-c to DVI attached monitor but the login screen was on my main HDMI to DVI attached monitor which stayed blank until reconnected.

The 16 GB ram was much better than 8 GB - I don't expect to see much more with 32 but a Windows 10 VM on Parallels is the key test.
