V vim147 macrumors regular Original poster Nov 14, 2011 236 1 Nov 12, 2021 #1 I am trying to set up Siri on a iPhone 7 I have just acquired but it doesn't seem to acknowledge when I say "Hey Siri" when am trying to set it up. Everything else works i.e FaceTime, Voice notes, Whatsapp. Any clues ?

Siri listens to the microphone in the earpiece, rather than the main microphone which is used by those other apps. I found this out when I refurbished an iPhone 6s and had misaligned the top microphone when I replaced the screen. Reactions: andrewstrugnell
