Me and the wife are going to the Dominican Republic next week and i wanted to buy a mifi router for us to use on the beach i know the service is not cheap but which one should i buy with the best speeds.

None of the US service providers seem to exist in the Dominican Republic, so you probably aren't going to be able to find one in the US.

Best bet is to try to buy just a router without service that takes a SIM card, and try to find a SIM card when you get to the DR.

Not easy. My parents are traveling to Europe and have a 3G iPad and even finding decent deals on European SIMs is a mess (but they'll be working off Wifi most the time.)

Maybe there is Wifi on the beach?
