Happy friday everybody!
I have now been a MBP owner for a week now and today I have purchased a time capsule to upgrade my wireless and provide a back up facility.
I have been using an unbranded wireless G modem router for 5 or more years now which has been fine until today. The problem is there is no facility to turn the wireless off, and I reset it as per the instructions from Time capsule.
I have my username and password but there are many settings on the modem that make no sense to me. Have a look at the manual? Good idea apart from its that old it came on a floppy disk and I don't have a drive anymore. I've tried messing about but I can't get it to connect. I am tryping this on my old windows laptop using a crappy usb modem.
So I'm thinking its time for a new modem, does anyone have any suggestions, I don't think it needs to be anything fancy, just something to port the internet through to the time capsule, but I'd like something with a manufacturers name on it, a printed manual and a website with info about it.
All help gratefully recieved.
Nearly forgot, I'm in the uk on ADSL.
Many thanks
James
