Which monitor is better?

Hey, don't need the worlds most color correct monitor but would like it close. I as thinking the 23" ACD right before the new 24" LED ACD or the HP w2558hc 25.5-inch Vivid Color Full HD Widescreen Flat Panel Monitor .

The prices are kinda close but I was going to wait for the right deal on ebay or CL for the ACD.

So- all you monitor users- which would you buy?

Get the Apple LED Cinema Display 24in.

I think if you have the funds, then go 24" Cinema.

It's slightly smaller at 24", and uses an IPS panel.

^^^^^^ No I haven't but the 25.5 inch at the moment is around 450 for some reason. I can find the 23" ACD for $300 on CL so was really wondering if it is comparable or if the HP is way better and shouldn't waste your time with the 23" ACD.

That model isn't IPS, but rather TN.

Though it has reviewed well for a TN, it's not going to fill the bill you've described. For that, you'd need IPS, or a decent PVA panel based model IMO.

But it's hard to compare new vs. a used model off Craig's List. Lots of research can help, but with the ACD, you really need to see it working to be sure it's going to satisfy you, given the fact it's used.

BTW, any Apple Care remaining on it?

Why don't you just get the Dell 2408WFP - they go for around $400. Seems like it fits the bill.

Though a $100USD or so more, it would be a really good candidate. It also has most of the features the HP w2558hc has (sans webcam), and a warranty. I'm presumming the ACD on Craig's List doesn't.
