trying to decide between the hp 2207 lcd and the Samsung SyncMaster 2253BW... i have heard some good things about samsung and not sure about hp. ill be using it mostly for my macbook, and possible a xbox 360.

thanks

You have to consider the options you need, The hp has height adjustable stand, usb ports and is rotatable the Samsung however hasn't got a single one of those features. Feature, price and specs wise the w2207h (the 2207h is the one with a hdmi port no dvi) is awesome but you should decide for yourself. Hooking up your 360 requires a vga-hd cable for your xbox or if you have a model with hdmi, a hdmi cable. Remember you also have to buy a mini dvi to vga/dvi adapter.

I recently got the Gateway FHD2400 24" monitor, and they also had the FHD2200 22" model. I had considered the Gateway and the HP 2408, but the Gateway won out b/c of the extra inputs (it has hdmi, dvi, vga, component, composite, and display port). If the 22" version also has the extra inputs I would look for one of them instead of the HP which (I think) only had vga and hdmi.

I have several samsung monitors and honestly I'm not impressed with them. (I bought em all at the same time thats why I have multiple) HP makes some nice screens but I really really like the new Asus monitors (although I would suggest calibration as the colors are very intense) After calibration they are some of the nicest monitors I've seen.
