Hi Everyone! I have two monitors laying around and I am wondering which would be better for gaming, pros / cons kinda thing. I don't want to spend any money so one of these two is it.

I have a 2010 Apple Cinema Display 27"
I also have a 2005 Apple Cinema Display 30"

I like the idea of getting a bigger screen with the 30, but are there any drawbacks?

Given they're both 60Hz and I assume of similar resolution, can you just try the 30" for 2 weeks and then switch to 27" and see? Surely it's the best way to decide.

Well, I would need to order a $50 adapter to use the 30' Cinema Display since it has a weird dual link dvi.

The only drawback I could think of is that since these monitors are old, you'd probably need adapters to get them to connect to modern Macs, and I don't know how easy it would be to find those adapters.

Other than that, they should be about the same (other than physical screen size).

Can you order it on Amazon and return it, if you don't like the monitor? Anything you buy on Amazon from the 1st of November you can return in January - please check this though.
Another option is to try and find this adapter used on eBay.

Both of those are dual-link DVI. Any adapter that runs one should run the other.

30” is 2560x1600; 27” is 2560x1440
