I would need a navigation app that can operate on my iPad 2 at&t 3G model while in an area with poor 3G coverage (North America).

So far looks like Navigon and CoPilot are the only two that would install the maps onto the device.

Can anyone chime in on your experience with those two? or you have better suggestion.

Copilot live hands down I have this app since last may. Best gps out there I had them al l tomm tomm maggellon every high end model out there this app is fantastic. Just buy it you won't be sorry
 
Navigon. By far the best out there. Haven't had a problem with it ever and have had it for almost two years now.
 
I'm a TomTom fan but since they don't have Universal Apps, I bought Navigon for the iPad and keep TomTom on my iPhone
