Hello everyone, I just need some second opinion. After my beloved 15" MBP 2008 got stolen I am purchasing a second hand one. I will be using it mostly for writing, internet, watching films and editing of shorts and medium length projects with Avid Media Composer 6. Nothing high end. But consider HD footage is now standard.
The prices are in Euros for the Italian market.

One concern I have, that I've been told, is that after long hours of use with a 13" display your eyes will get tired. I am used to 15".
The 13" is newer of course and I would go for that but would like to have a larger 15" screen. Is 2 inches extra not worth the trouble for the older MBP?
Stupid question maybe: is a 2.44GHz dual-core i5 (with turboboost) faster than 2.66MHz i7?
Thank you for your opinions!
