Hi All,

So the 20" tv on which I play my xbox is dying, and I can't afford the hdtv right now. To replace it, I'm looking at one of these two monitors.

A refurb Vizio 26"

Or a new Hanns G 24.6"

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824254040

This will be used for pretty much exclusively xbox playing (via HDMI) for about a year. Then it will replace the 17" monitor on the "Family" computer when I get a bigger tv for the xbox.

I'd appreciate any input as to which one you guys would go with, and reasons why. They're the same price, and if anyone can give any suggestions for other monitors in the same price neighborhood, I'd be happy to hear them.

Thanks!

I can vouch for BOTH companies, but not those specific models.

I have had a Vizio 37" 720P for about 2 1/2 years, it is really a great TV!

I bought a Hannspree 23" from BestBuy for a decent deal about 8 months ago. I googled Hannspree and HannsG, and they are the same. I love the monitor, however (now the Hanns G may have a different menu system) I dislike the menu layout. There are not any input buttons, for quick changes from HDMI to DVI, etc. The sound isn't that great, either. I have external speakers, so no big deal.

My buddy bought an ASUS 24" monitor from newegg.com a few months ago. It was $150 shipped, and the menu layouts are way better. I would go into Best Buy and check out their Hannsprees to get an idea....
