I have seen reviews on a these two SSDs, some good some bad - it really depends what you end up with.

However I am still undecided which of the two to purchase.

Any guidance would be appreciated, I stress that I only want to purchase one of these two and nothing else.

Option 1. SanDisk SDSSDX-240G-G25
Option 2. OCZ AGT3-25SAT3-240G Agility 3

Have you been reading 'professional' reviews, or actual user reviews? I'd look up the drives on Newegg and Amazon and read what's been submitted by mac users with the same model as yours.

Both, and they are very mixed - either the drives are great or utter c**p.

Hence why I asked here if anyone had experience of either and does one surpass the other in reliability and performance.

Honestly, if you are choosing only between those two, buy whichever is cheapest. They both use the Sandforce SF-2281 controller and looks like they are very close in performance. I don't think you will see any difference in performance or usage between the two. It is a toss up.

I agree. While I have no experience with SanDisk, I do have experience with OCZ and MANY of their SSDs and experience with their customer service and the RMA process and I can HIGHLY recommend OCZ.

I picked those two because they are the cheapest ones on Amazon.co.uk and I have some vouchers with them that I want to redeem. Although I don't have to do it today, the OCZ is 115 and the sandisk 120.

All other 240gb drives at amazon are more expensive by a considerable amount.

what about the Vertex 4 or Agility 4 or Samsung 830/840 or Crucial M4?
