Im buying a mac tonight and I need help deciding on which one to get!

I am mainly going to be using it for garage band and pro tools with some gaming (counter strike source).

Is a macbook sweet enough for this?

THANKS

probably not... the integrated graphics on the macbook really hinders that performance.

It's also harder to play games on a 13" screen.

MBP is more suited for casual gaming.

you need to give us more information. what are you looking at, specs. more of what you'll be doing with it.

Hmm....

Im going to be using boot camp or parallels.... and i tend to leave a billion programs open at once...

Seems like the mbp must be the one for me

The instant you said "gaming", you made your choice. That is, MBP. You're not going to get a satisfactory experience with the integrated graphics of the MP unless you're very undemanding.

Definitely MBP if you're going to be doing gaming. If you leave a lot of apps open, as well, make sure you get quite a bit of RAM (1.5-2 GB would be good).
