I've heard that the Graphics Card in the new launched 2011 15" macbook pro is even worse than its previous generation...

what the heck is all that about???

The low end 15" (the 2.0GHz quad) is designed for people who don't play games. It has an amazing CPU, but is lacking in graphics power.

The high end 15" (the 2.2GHz quad) is designed for people who enjoy playing intensive games when they aren't working. It has a graphics chip that can easily handle almost any game.

If you care about graphics capability, the 2.2GHz quad with 6750M is what you should buy. It is much faster than the old 330M.

The GPU on the low end, the 6470M or whatever it is, is very weak.

most Apple upgrades are just that ... an upgrade from the previous model

The 2010 MBP 15 is still a nice laptop and the refurbs right now are some of the best deals I have seen in a long time

I have a 2010 15" 2.66 core i7 and im loving it. It works great and it is as reliable as my Corolla. Im not crazy about the new Iphoto though

its about using the GPU that came with the CPU.

Size and heat constraint,
