Hi, I'm in need of a new laptop ready for university in September, wanting a mac.

I was hoping to pick up a 13" rMBP with Haswell after WWDC but that's obviously not happening now! So I was just wondering what you guys think would be best for me? Either;
13" rMBP (2.6 ghz i5, 8b RAM, 256gb SSD)
13" MBA (1.7 ghz i7, 8gb RAM, 256gb SSD)
or wait for haswell to come to rMBP

I'd be using it for Microsoft office, some basic photo and video editing (for recreational purposes only), browsing the web, some games, and for SPSS (statistics program, I don't think it's very taxing).

I really had my heart set on a rMBP and the only real thing thats putting me off from the MBA is the bezel (sounds pathetic but I HATE that silver bezel) and the screen quality (is it made of glass or plastic?). Cheers :)

I think you will be ok with 2013 MBA with new Haswell because you might want long battery life in the classroom without using AC power. :apple:

At this point, I think it is all about the screen.

If you care about a high-resolution retina screen, get the 13". If not, then I guess you could get the Air.
