Hi,

About to buy a mac and have a bit of a dilemma.

My options are :

1: Second Hand 20" iMac (not the newest but the penryn one before
2: Brand New Mac Mini with a generic screen
3: Brand New 13" white Macbook

Will there be a major speed increase by having the imac?

Matt

It would be helpful to know what you will be using your Mac for...

Is portability an issue? Then the MacBook
Do you already have a nice monitor? Maybe the Mac Mini

What applications do you use?
What price differences are you looking at?

Are you a student? Graphic designer?
What will you be doing with your Mac

More info please

it will depend on what you do a lot, remember the imac has a full sized hard drive so will boot and load things and files faster, so probably better if you work with large files a lot, where as the others will have faster processors (depending on the models which you havnt listed) so calculations / rendering / encoding may be faster on them.

Hi,

Sorry should have been more specific.

I will be using it for general internet surfing, email, office, burning discs and will be doing photography with photoshop cs3 and lightroom 2.0

I wont be doing heavy photography but not overlight either.
