Which OSX for MacBook Air 13inch Late 2010?

This machine doesn't seem to handle High Sierra very well.

In which case which version will make it work less?

I love elcapitan on my MBAIR 2010, I did not not miss anything highest Sierra offered, except a few Pages features. My photos still are live and I have the latest iTunes, safari.
Re installled 2 weeks ago and much less spinning ball.
I posted more reasons in various thread, if ya want check those out.
