Which Portable External Hard Drive

Hi everyone, I've recently made the move to MAC and only bought my rMBP late 2013 a week ago. I'm looking to have my iTunes and perhaps Lightroom Catalog on this. Can anyone offer suggestions and reviews on this particular hard drive, have you any other recommendations?

The Samsung should work fine, although you should know that Samsung sold it's drive division to seagate, so retailers are selling off old stock...

just did a similar search, went with the wd passport ultra seemed the least worst one based on amazon reviews

I am happy with Seagate GoFlex Ultra portable external HD. I got it from WalMart for 35 bucks 2 years ago.

Thanks guys. Anyone own the freecom mobile drive mg portable hard drive? I really like the look of this. I own three other freecom hard drives none have let me down in the last 5 years. I'm skeptical of buying this ultra slim hd and I can't find many reviews.

Gets mostly good reviews, one guy had a busted USB socket - seems to be
an issue on a few other Freecom 2.5 drives !
Looks great but it's expensive for a portable 5400rpm.
I would try to find a 7200rpm version or buy a Hitachi 7200rpm and a USB3.0
enclosure from IcyBox or similar, save yourself 20-30 bucks.
