There are a number of Intel based software and online services that can take an audio speech recording and transcribe it into a text file. I am wondering if anyone here is using such a software? I thought it would be neat to transcribe my audio notes I made using my Apple Watch into text using a PowerMac G5 running Leopard that I will be inheriting soon. Any help would be grateful.

These days, I don’t know where they can be found or obtained, but I can think of two different applications from the ’00s which might be able to do that: IBM’s ViaVoice for OS X and iListen.

Ah Thanks; that's exactly the software I was looking for -- ViaVoice! It seems like it works better in Tiger and I think I saw a copy of that software in our Thrift store. Never knew what it does, but I now know!
