Which Pre-Order Option?

As of now, I know of the following......

1. Apple.com
2. Carrier
3. Apple Store App

In the past, where did you have the best success placing your pre-order? Personally, I was able to place a pre-order for my 5s via AT&T's site.....but that won't be anything close to the iP6 launch.

I would like to know the same thing. What are the pros of ordering thru apple instead of the carrier or best buy ?
