Which printer with rebate?

Im buying a macbook pro and am using this for my photography and design work...

I could use a decent printer but dont have the money to buy a new one, so apple can give me a free one.

Well heres the thing, I bought a macbook pro and all they had was the lexmark... but more people are buying the nx420 and it has good reviews, lexmark doesnt have much.

The guy said I can easily return it and buy the other printer online, or I can check other apple stores in my area.

Im not worried about returning the macbook pro for the epson, I want to be happy...

Is the epson better? Does it print better pictures? I could care less how long it takes to print a photo, im not in a rush when it comes to quality..

We got the Epson Artisan 725 with my husband's new MBP 11 for $69 after the $100 rebate. It prints well, makes nice pictures AND it will print printable CD/DVDs which I never saw in the descriptions(but maybe I missed it). There is an app for the iPad, Epson iPrint. Prints JPEG, PDF, MS Word, MS Excel or PowerPoint and it prints photos beautifully from your iPad. Also supposedly prints from Evernote, Google Docs, Dropbox and box.net, but I've never tried.

PS-Per the guy in the Apple store, you are not limited to the two that come up. You can get any of the printers on the Apple site, you just have to get it all in the same purchase order or you don't get the $100 rebate

Epson R3000 with 200 dollars rebate?

Epson just announced a $200 rebate, bringing the price below $600 at Atlex.
not sure if it is overkill for you or not, but it's a great printer! also just to inform that Inkrepublic.com is just releasing a working bulk ink system for the
latest Epson R2000 and the R3000 printers. It should be available soon

So what did you go with? I just got the S505--it looked sleeker to me, and I liked that it held separate colour wells. I do wonder if it will scan without ink though--I sure hope so.
