i recently made simlar post but need a poll
i been a pc user all my life.... im a heavy gamer but i am trying to quit them slowly

i just bought a macbook 2.2ghz 4GB ram (bought seprately) and 120GB HDD
and not played games since.

im thinking of fully switching to mac and getting a imac/Mac pro.

should i? do it now or wait till next year when my pc is bit older?

currently have QX6850 3.6ghz (x4) 4GB 1066MHZ 4x1TB 7600GT

My uses:
Photoshop CS3 (very heavy user) (1650x1050-2560x1600 renders)
Dreamweaver CS3
Safari/Firefox
ITunes
Imovie (maybe)
i normally run these at one time and my macbook hits 83C most of time this main reason i think i need desktop.

what should i go for? i would still like to game occasionly so i got best of both worlds

PC cost £1600 but if i keep it i would get gfx card which is £450

Get a 4 core pro with the graphics card upgrade.

I'd like to point out that therr is no way your graphics card is worth £450. I can buy the 7600GT for $110 brand new...


Anyways, I'd sell the PC and get a Mac Pro. I have a very powerful PC (Overclocked 4ghz quad core, 4gbs of ram, 800GTS, etc.) and I'm selling it to get a Mac Pro.
