I am looking to upgrade from 4gb to 8gb for my 2011 15" mbp.

I am looking at the g.skill 8gb ddr3 1333 on newegg.ca which is 50$ with free shipping right now. link

G.SKILL 8GB (2 x 4GB) 204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) Laptop Memory Model F3-10666CL9D-8GBSQ

Does anyone have any experience with this ram? Any better deals out there?

Thanks

I don't personally have experience with it, but I know many people here have purchased G.Skill and I have heard all good things about it. If that's the cheapest on newegg, that's probably about as cheap as you're going to find it.

Welcome to MR!

Search is your friend. There are a number of recent threads discussing this.

In short, that's fine. Go for it.

;)

Thats what I have in my MBP now. I like it. Been usin it forever. It was my goto ram when I was customizing computers. And theyre right 50$ is as cheap as you can get right now. I seen Corsair for 35$ but thats after rebate and that ram sold out quick.

Just ordered 2x4 of the Kingston on NewEgg over the weekend. Have never heard of G Skill and did not buy it.

I use the G.Skill RAM and have been pleased thus far. No problems, whatsoever.
