Probably been asked so many times, but just incase, which Ram did you guys get for the MBP 2012? I have seen conflicting stories about some ram causing crashes etc?

The CL number being important?

I got ram for my old 2011 MBP and it has the odd wiggle and crash, nothing major though, but would like to avoid issues with the newer laptop.

Apple want £160 for 8GB of Ram, when amazon sell 8GB for £40. Any advice?

Corsair, Crucial and g.skill make good stuff. Just read the amazon reviews, usually you can find a handful of Mac users to verify that the RAM will work in your setup.

Right now 16GB of 'almost anything' is under $100!! Buy something you have heard of and with a reasonable return policy.. The Crucial site has a fairly foolproof calculator, and you can cross reference from their I would think..

For my 2011 I bought Mushkin 1333/10600 (the 'L' mentioned is 'Low Voltage' ~ 1.35v) about a year ago, paid twice what it is now, and it works perfectly!! :apple:

Online you can easily get it for under 100 with 16gb of ram easily.
I'm from canada so I don't exactly know how much it is in your currency, but here is a nice brand http://www.crucial.com/store/mpartspecs.aspx?mtbpoid=3D32ED07A5CA7304
