If given the choice for the same price, which retina iPad Mini would you rather have? Thx!

A.) 32 GB WiFi

B.) 16 GB LTE (T-Mobile unlocked)

I don't think having a media-oriented device on a service plan is a very great idea (although it could be pretty useful for work/email stuff)... I'd go with 32gb wifi.

32GB Wi-Fi. I had a cellular data first Gen ipad and I never actually used the cellular data. And more importantly, 16GB is just too small on a tablet.

The features I like about the LTE versions are:
1.) 200 mb free data/month (just in case in a pinch)
2.) GPS

Though, realistically, I'll always have my iPhone with me as well if not in the house or at work (both of which have WiFi). And my T-Mobile plan does have 3 GB of tethering I can do from my iPhone. However, while I don't store that much on my current iPad, extra storage is nice to have.

I should have gone with wifi when I still have a mobile hotspot with unlimited data plan but I just bought iPad Air with cellular for GPS. :apple:

I've had data iPads always. I use them no matter where I am. Having the wifi only model will limit your pleasure. Period. Tethering is a hassle and incoming phone calls breaks the connection, and drains your battery severely.
Although 16 gb is a limitation of a different kind, I would certainly go with the data model.

32gb WiFi. Tether it to your iPhone if you need cellular.

This. I use the web on my iPad outside a lot via tethering and it works like a dream. Why get two contracts when one is perfectly sufficient.
Also, I'm not an appaholic, but even I need more space than 16 gigs. I'd roll with the 32 gig wifi version.

I had a wifi iPad 3 for two years and it was a great device but I was tired of constantly tethering. When I moved from a MacBook Air to a MacBook Pro I was taking my iPad around with me more, so when I upgraded to the retina mini I didn't think twice about getting the LTE version. I have absolutely no regrets and while I have 64GB, I would take the LTE and GPS over the storage any day. The convenience factor is worth more to me than extra storage.

That is a tough call, but I'd go with the LTE model. I have a horrible sense of direction, and use the gps all the time. I could work around the memory limitation. Still, I'm glad I didn't have to choose, and was able to get a LTE model with 32 GB.

If money was no object, then yes, I'd get the 32 GB LTE model. But I really do need to choose from the two I listed.

I personally think a cellular iPad would be awesome. I hate being strapped to the closest WiFi network, which in my area, is usually kind of hard to find at times. I can deal with 16GB on an iPad because I'm not taking pictures on it really, and am not a huge app person. I am comfortably sitting at 5.3GB available on my 16GB retina mini.

I would be more tempted to get a higher storage iPhone than a higher storage iPad. I like taking pictures. Just not on iPads.

Well, the 32GB WiFi retina Mini that I ordered arrived yesterday, but I didn't open it just yet. Thinking if I should wait until Tuesday or not. Can return it to Best Buy either way. Hmmmm....
