which screen in terms of specs?

hey guys im looking around for a new screen
so far these 2 samsung screens really impress me

this one is a 24 inch

this one is a 30inch

i had a 22inch samsung screen and it was pretty damn good, so now i want either a 24 or 30inch

i do like the cinema displays but i am not paying 800 for the 23inch and 1800 for 30inch.

i think the 30 inch might be overkill but im not gonna drop it out of consideration till i go back to the apple store and sit in front of the 30inch and see what its like.

how do the specs look on these monitors?
think there are hips panels or what ever those high quality panels are in these monitors?

how far away should one be from a 30inch panel?

any other alternatives i should look for?

24-26-28-30
nothing over 1k am i willing to spend.
any of those sizes are all in consideration.

Samsung doesn't use IPS panels IIRC. S-PVA in their better units.
