Which settings for exporting in imovie?

hi. I'm new working on this video thing. i don't like the standard video exports because quality is bad. or not good enough at least compared to the original. when exporting in mpeg4 h264 what are the best settings for 720p and 1080p respectively? i use a canon hf200.

mainly i would like to know about bitrates etc...
