Hey,

Does anyone know which carrier will Apple most likely use for shipments within the UK? (Greater London area specifically)
I'd like to hold my package at the carriers warehouse and hopefully pick it up before launch

I think my iPhone 6, 5S & 5 all came via UKMail, but I think Apple also use UPS (maybe primarily use UPS) & TNT.

You've got no chance of getting it early though, as the couriers are under strict and legally binding agreements.

I'm hoping it's UK Mail, rather than UPS, as the UPS depot is about 20 miles away, so that will be a painful saturday trying to utilise public transport! Touch wood someone is going to be home this Friday, but you never know.

If it's UK Mail, it's literally 2 minute walk away. Anyone know if we can contact them and ask them to hold it before a delivery attempt? Would be cool to go and pick it up on the Friday morning on way to work.

Syncreon... sounds familiar. Too bad they don't offer anything like UPS My Choice. In fact their site looks like it was built by a 10 year old -.-

I believe Syncreon is Apple's UK warehouse/fulfilment provider. They aren't a courier themselves, they usually send via UK Mail.

Both my iPhone 5 and 5s came by ups, and my MacBook too if I recall. So I'm pretty sure that for the South Wales area at least, it's ups.

I miss the days of getting things delivered a day or so early :(

My iPhones, iPads and MacBooks have come via UKMail or UPS. Never had a problem with either.

I have found that with UPS I get tracking details substantially sooner than UKMail, usually when the product is still outside the UK, were as, as the name suggests UKMail as only ever given me tracking info once the product is in the UK.

Yeah, I just want to know if we can get UK Mail to hold the parcel on Friday.

That would mean I could go to the depot and collect the Watch first thing instead of waiting all day for the delivery.

Anyone done this before in the past? Collected before an attempted delivery, I mean.

I'm sure most of my stuff has come by UK mail.
As said too Syncreon technologies is just apples warehouse provider/distributor all apple products bought through Apple Store online are usually shipped from them AFAIK

My iPhone 6+ launch day delivery came through Syncreon but was delivered by UKMail, at around 11:30am.

All of my Apple products have been delivered by UPS, I'm in Gravesend, Kent.

I'd also be interested to know if I can ask UPS to hold my package in their depot and I'll go to them and pick it up Friday morning.

My apple stuff has always been syncreon too. Hopefully it will be DPD as they are easily the best delivery service telling you the time of delivery and showing where the truck is etc. but ultimately I'll be happy as long as it isn't Yodel. If it's Yodel then I've lost £600 there and then. I'll never see my watches.

Ugh, I hope it's not yodel, how are they still around?! They're awful!!

I am in East London and my Apple stuff has always come via DPD who are good but always want to deliver at a bad time for me.

At least with DPD you have to option to reschedule or deliver elsewhere. I love them for their text alerts alone, I can tell if I'm going to get the delivery before I have to head to work and reschedule if I'll miss it :3
