I am currently looking to buy a used 27 "iMac on eBay for approx. $1400. It has 1TB, 8GB of RAM, 2.66 GHz Intel i5 processor, but the processor is single core. I will be running many programs, such as Final Cut Studio, Logic Studio, Adobe Photoshop, etc, and am wondering if Single Core will be enough to run all of these programs (+ more) without slowing down.

Here is the link to the item i am considering buying: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...70979&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT#ht_8215wt_1103

Is this the right computer for me to run major programs on or should I look for another with a double/quad core processor? I think mainly the other specs are alright.

New Edit: Or could I buy it like it is and upgrade it to a double/quad core later?
