I've been looking for an ssd but I feel there's a jungle out there. There's so many details concerning performance and whatnot. Half of it I don't understand. Read/write speed is okay. I get it. But what other specifics should I beware?

I need help finding the best consumer ssd for my future macbook pro (i5 soon??)

If there already is a thread on this, I'm sorry. Couldn't find it.

I would go with an Intel SSD from Newegg.com. It also depends on your budget. You can get a blistering fast Intel SSD on newegg. They have one for 800 bucks, it's 64GB. Fastest one Intel makes I believe. Then they have others for 500 bucks that have 160GBs of storage capacity. Take your pick. :D

well I would recommend a search on here as it gave me enough links/info to decide.

like jessica I have an intel g2 ssd 160gb.

Its great very snappy. However, the one reflection I have is just how fast the latest MBP is (pre-SSD). This is the icing on the cake!
