SHould i buy the MBP with 2.0 processor, 2 gig ram, 80 gig hardrive, 128 VRam

or

MBP 2.16, 1 gig ram, 100 gig hardrive, 256 VRam?

BTW can you upgrade you laptop in the actual store and does the education discount apply there?

RAM can always be swapped out and stick another one in. CPU and Video card cant.

I would go witht he second one.

Yes you can upgrade in the store. However it is MUCH cheaper to buy it online. Online to do a upgrade from the stock 512 to 1 gig is 90 bucks. In store it is 300. They charge for labor. Online does not because it is done in the factory

Ditto. GET THE SECOND ONE!!!
Assumng they are the same price, which I highly doubt, the second one is much better. RAM is easy to swap in and out. The rest is pretty much impossible, and one gig of ram is probably enough. Especially if it's in one slot, not 2x512, which would be somewhat annoying if u want to upgrade.
And yes, you can get an apple guy to stick in the extra ram, and if u buy it from them, who knows, they might do it for free!
Although installing ram is hardly difficult. Consult the manual.
Yes the edu discount applies.

yea they are roughly the same price, i think they are both within the $2300 range. I also got one more question, i've heard that for core duo processors it's better to have to matching sticks of memory(2x512), is this true?
