Which tv?: Dlp, RP lcd, or plasma?

Sup guys. Running into a dilemma. I recently picked up a sony 50' grand wega 3lcd rptv. I picked this after looking at several diff tv's including the dlp's. THe sony seemed to have the best picture in store. My problem with it is the black levels are terrible. Now I'm hearing its a common trait? If I go with another tvshall it be dlp or plasma? *I mainly watch dvd's and play ps2 but may get a 360 in the future. I did watch a 61' dlp and did see rainbows on it. Not sure If I would see them on a smaller set. My choices I've narrowed down to are a 46' samsung dlp or a 42' samsung plasma. Any good feedback is appreciated!
