For more info, thought it would be nice for there to be a resource of the sorts of deals that people in the UK have been getting. Would likely be helpful to others :)

Thanks the guy above for sharing with this deal, probably I'll go with this one as well since giff gaff will not provide nanos in nearest months.

Perfect, Just what I intended this thread to do!

would be interesting to have an "unlocked from Apple" option in the poll too.

I know that's not a "deal" but would give an indication of what proportion of people are buying in that way.

1) GiffGaff
2) 250
3) Unltd
4) Unltd
5) £10 (rising to £13 in near future)
6) 1 month rolling
7) £599
8) 32GB

Will be attempting to cut down a microSIM, have been assured that it's possible...

1)Network - Three
2)minutes - 2000
3)texts - 5000
4)data - Unlimited + Tethering
5)Monthly cost - £25/m
6)plan length - 30 day
7)Handset cost - £599 from Apple
8)Handset capacity - 32GB

Saves a lot of money this way as I plan on switching to EE when and IF there is a decent enough contract that beats Three's One Plan.

1)Network - Three
2)minutes - 200
3)texts - 5000
4)data - all you can eat (unlimited)
5)Monthly cost - £12.90
6)plan length - 30 day rolling
7)Handset cost - £699 from apple
8)Handset capacity - 64 gig black

Vodafone

*1200 Mins
*Unlimited texts
*1 GB data

*£51 per month for 12 months contract
*One off phone cost of £240 for 32GB iphone 5

Subtract 20% NHS discount on line rental, total cost of line rental = £490
Total overall cost of £728 compared to £600 sim free.
Therefore, monthly line rental minus the phone cost £10.66.

1)Network Three
2)minutes 2,000 any network / 5,000 same network
3)texts 5,000
4)data unlimited inc. tethering
5)Monthly cost £39
6)plan length 24
7)Handset cost £89
8)Handset capacity 32GB

I also had to pay £100 to cover the remaining few months on my contract as I wasn't due an upgrade yet but I really wanted the phone on release day so couldn't wait.

I'm happy with this as I'm getting £270 for my 16GB 4s from Envirofone.

unbelieveable the amount of suckers on here with contracts that amount to near £1000 and you aren't even getting unlimited data. would be cheaper to put whole thing on credit card and go with giffgaff.

Haven't seen the unlimited data Simplicity contract. That would be perfect for my needs. Where did you find it?

i got the simplicity 20 for iphone over 2 years ago just before iphone 4 was released.. truely unlimited 3g.. they dont do it any more =[

i could of got it for £15 a month if i did a 12 month rolling contract but i dont like being tied down .

I agree with you depending on needs. In my case the contract was the cheaper option.

If I went your route for my needs it would work out like this:

Phone from apple £599 + 24 months of GiffGaffs £25 option = £1,199.

However my contact total is £89 for the phone + £39 a month = £1,025.

So for less money I get more minutes and tethering plus I didn't have to front some major cash.

You should also note GiffGaff are likely to be changing their £10 option down to 750mb per month. See their forums.
