which universal chat sw is better

I currently use iChat, but i want something that i can use for AIM that operates in invisible mode, and also can use multiple IM services at once. I used Fire for a while but stopped when the HD it was on died. Which is better, Fire or gaim, or does anyone know of anything else that's better?

The top 3 would have to be fire, adium, and proteus imo personally I use proteus it's shareware though. Adium also seems great, I haven't used fire for the longest time but I didn't think much of it when I tried it.

Try them all and make up your own mind.
