Hello, I'm overwhelmed by the amount of cheap Chinese USB-C hubs on Amazon (think of any random name - it exists). I need one with with microSD reader and one additional USB-C port for external SSD. HDMI port would be nice, but not necessary. I heard some USB-C hubs (even Anker) with PD can fry your ports. Well, iPad Pro only has one, that would be a shame. Which one to get?

Or should I just get the one Apple listed https://www.apple.com/us-hed/shop/product/HMYE2ZM/A/satechi-aluminum-usb-c-multiport-pro-adapter ?

Posted in a similar thread the other day. I know this is on Amazon, regular price is $89.99. It has several very favorable reviews.
I have been using 6 in 1 hyperdrive on my Gen 4 iPad Pro and now by switching the front mount (it came with the purchase) to the one that you use a screen protector with it fits perfectly on my gen 5 12.9” iPad Pro and is secure.

I'd have end up paying more for shipping and taxes than for that hub ;). Still this could help others.

Yes this is what I am looking for. Thanks for the suggestions so far everyone

Yeah it looks almost too perfect. But the reviews are pretty brutal on German site (bad HDMI quality, doesn't charge iPad, gets hot, drains quickly iPad's battery..). I'm considering it though.
The moist import thing is attaching the dock. The dock comes with two frontal screwed on (screw driver included) as well as one with a USB C cord. When I attached it to my 2020 iPad Pro with the Pitaka case, yes it got warm. The reason was that it was not properly seated in the connector. After switching to the bar that said “for use with screen protector”, all was fine. In attaching it to my 2021 12.9” iPad Pro, I followed the web sites advise and used the bar that said “for use with a screen protector”. The reason is that the 2021 iPad Pro 12.9 is a little thicker. It works great and doesn’t get hot. Proper fit equals proper use. Oh and look at the web sit for the hyperdrive and make sure you are connecting the dock in the proper orientation.

update:
Just got an email from they have a sale on:

No problems at all with mine here in the US. I actually have two of them for different devices - iPad and Surface Pro 7.

Do you not have Logitech Combo Touch? If you do, by examining the head of the USB-C connector, I assume you know that plastic surrounding it is too thick for you to plug it in with the case on. Would you remove the case every time when using the hub? If you don’t have Combo case, disregard this reply. Thanks.

Indeed I do. I ordered a one from Ugreen, will see if it fits. I’d hate to remove the case every time, it’s pretty solid in the corners.

In looking at an image of the case, the dock you choose that will fit, you more than likely will have to have one with a wired attachment to the iPad Pro. The docks that fit in the iPad will not clear the borders of the case. The hyperdrive (when purchased from hyperdrive) come with an adapter to overcome this.

I have this device, and it is truly amazing! exceeds my expectations. and perfect for travel, fits the iPad snugly and never had an issue. On vacation its my goto to stream movies for kids to normal TV's and for business meetings it functions without hiccups ... I have had this since their kickstarter campaign.

I can confirm the Ugreen hub’s cable (6in1 version) fits with Logi Combo Touch on, also does the Anker PowerCore Essential 20 000 PD for anyone interested.
