Which USB Cameras supported in 10.4.9

I was very excited when I read that USB cameras where finally supported by iChat, however, when I connected my Logitech Quickcam 3000 it wasn't recognized by iChat.

Are there any cameras that do work, or did we just misunderstand that particulary piece of information?

Looking forward to your thoughts...
