My current 1GB Patriot Xporter USB drive is obviously becoming too small for these days, so I'll most likely be getting an 8GB replacement.

But since there is such vast array of brands available, which one would you recommend most?

I'm looking for durability, speed and possibly aesthetics.

So far I've come up with these:

- Patriot Xporter 8GB
- Kingston DataTraveler 100 8GB
- Corsair Voyager 8GB
- SanDisk?
- Something else?

What would you suggest?

I like the lacie "its a key" and the "i am a key". I have one, can't remember which one. 8gb, works great and its always one me because its on my keychain.

I generally buy whatever's on sale (including Micro Center's own brand) and they work fine. I haven't ever noticed much of a difference between them.

Same here, Micro Centers are nice and cheap. I still have 1 from them that's about 2-3 years old.

Patriot X-porter 8GB or 16GB?? What would you guys suggest?

I've heard 16GB has significantly slower write speeds than the 8GB one?
