Which versions of Firefox and Safari don't support HTML 5

I really hate animated banner ads and currently I can avoid them by turning off both flash and javascript because there are very few sites I visit that require javascript.

This will continue to work until banner ads start using HTML5 and then I will be inundated with crappy, annoying ads.

Does anybody know the last version of Firefox and Safari that did NOT support HTML 5? I would like to make sure I have a backup installed.
