Right now, I got Boot Camp setup w/ XP and also VMware in OS X.

If I created a XP image from Fusion compared to using Fusion to boot off my Boot Camp XP partition, which one is faster?

Note: I'm not comparing native boot camp and Fusion boot boot camp partition, because obviously native is much faster.

I'd probably say the VMware image.
Booting into the bootcamp installation requires you to enter your admin password when you startup (every time) which takes up a bit of time.

Also, VMware will have created the image, it'll be stored on OS X's partition so things should probably just run smoother

(I don't actually know the real answer, just speculating. The enter password thing is a real pain though...)
