iOS Which way is better when modify project name?

I am using SCM of Xcode to manage my source, I just have simple question, when I want to modify my project name, which way is better?

1. modify project name of work copy at first, then in SCM
2. modify project name in SCM, then in work copy

Or I have to do another way if it is wrong for my thinking.
