Hello. I moved to a small city in Japan. Except the university, there is no wifi services in cafe, restaurant, stores, bus, train, etc. I want to be able to access the internet anywhere. I went to the Docomo store and the guy suggested the Buffalo Portable Wi-fi or L-05A. I need to join a service plan of 2 years. I am trying to decide between the two. Anybody used these two products? The guy also said that I need to use mopera as the provider. Have not heard of it. Any user experience on the devices and mopera is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I am in a very small city in southern japan. I can get softbank but considering the area coverage and the penalty of breaking the contract, it is better to go with docomo. The docomo people tole me that if I go with the above devices, I need to choose mopera as provider. Mopera does not allow people to use skype. However, I heard that rumor that it could be done. Anybody knows if this is true and how to go about it?
