Wires you want to connect are 1 and 3.. 2 - let it just hang there.. I am not even sure what the number 2 wire does, but 1 and 3 are what you need to connect.

Roman23 is right, everything I have read points to wires 1 and 3, and the BT wire (BlueTooth). Wire 2 should not be connected. But this is not an easy upgrade, and one which I wouldn't try doing myself, I mean I wouldn't do it myself to be honest.
I paid Apple 30 bucks to install it in my mac pro.. I don't do micro micro parts.. and I thought doing my processor upgrade was difficult.. that was far easier than the airport! Man, are those screws ever so TINY!
SO, what to do with the 2nd wire or wire 2? DOes it have a use for something, or is reserved for a future device?
