It has a USB cable and is not wireless afaik. The scrolling ball thing seems a bit screwy in that if I touch it lightly and scroll, it doesnt do anything. I have to put a bit of pressure on it.

Is this normal?

Think it's enough to have them replace it? Being that it is refurbished, is the mouse under warranty, and for how long?

Doubt it. The Might Mouse is plagued with that problem across the board. What ever it is about that ball, if it gets the slightest bit dirty it quits forever. Every Mighty Mouse I ever had acted the same. They'll probably do nothing, unfortunately, but it never hurts to try - just be warned.

Turn it upside down and roll it on a piece of paper. It will clean and fix the scroll ball.
