I am looking at the MacBook Pro. Which screen is the best, Glossy or Anti-Glare?? I know..I know it should be personal preference, but, what is the popular one and why?
Thanks
p.s. I am new to Mac's, like this will be my first.

Matte/anti-glare all the way. The MacBooks look nice with glossy, but it just doesn't look right on the MacBook Pro, and to my eyes, decreases the colour accuracy...

I don't like the glossy hype, it's great for looking at things but if you have to move your project to print then it's not so good, and the glare does get annoying. Matte screens look great, it's not like glossy came around because Matte sucked.

Pro-level monitors are matte. enough said.

Matte if you want more natural colors; glossy if you want vivid colors. Both are reflective in light.

Get the glossy to enjoy life with COLORS :D .. The matte looks outdated to me and makes the MBP UGLY!

definitely matte. I don't know how people work with all the reflections from overhead lighting with the glossy screens.

true, but it is more irritating with glossy. with matte it is more diffused, with glossy, it just turns into a mirror.

get the matte you definitely won't regret it but the glossy will bug the crap out of you if there is any windows near

what are you going to be using the computer for? I'm assuming a mix of general tasks, web surfing, word documents, movies etc. I recommend getting the glossy then.

If you're doing it for the color, then I'll suggest matte.
