While replacing my broken screen, I probably ripped something!

My screen broke, in many pieces, while I was removing to replace I think I broke something else! that flex thing was so glued to the glass that I teared a piece... my question is, can this possibly be related to the POWER/SLEEP, VOLUME and LOCK buttons? They are not working anymore, and even though all the circuit that connects those buttons seem to be fine, since they're not working I can only assume this is relatable.

From what i can see in the picture looks like you broke the ribbon cable from the volume lock and hold assembly.....Is this an ipad 2 by any chance?

yes, Detrias, it is the iPad 2.

So, do you think if I buy this and replace I'll get those buttons to work again?
