Hello, I've read through the forum and the like looking for an answer to my problem and now hopefully you can help me. My original macbook battery worked fine except it only held a charge of roughly 1 hour 20 minutes. i bought a new battery from a 3rd party company. I took my old battery out and popped the new one in. I let it charge until the charging cable was green. It worked great while i was using it. After some time I shut it down and tried to turn it back on the next day with no luck. So I plugged it in and it turned on fine. It still wasn't charging. The battery icon had an X in it. So I proceeded to read about SMC resetting. When I do that the battery will let the macbook turn on and works normally. But I have to do this every time I shut the macbook down for more than a hour at a time.
Is there anything else I should try or do?
