What IF Apple didn't release the white version because they wanted to see how the black did? I just read on Gizmodo that a user got a replacement iPhone 4 with noticeable changes, [darker antenna band, matte finish front/back] and that the problems it once had are gone. What if they're adding a coating of something to the steel band for the white one to fix the reception issue? What if they fix the proximity sensor? I think it's a possibility. What about you guys?

The first batch of White IP4's will be plagued with the same issues. They have been in production for over a month if not prior.

This makes no sense. So why wouldn't they release it?

o.o...

Still. Why would apple care so much about white? I think they would want to sell more on day one.

Careful marketing-watching strategy is what the OP implied I think. Perhaps if they KNEW their phone was screwed up (which they probably did).

And if op said was true they would just delay the whole thing. Apple doesn't care that much about a color. They would be doing what they are now. Ignoring you.

Apple isn't going to launch a white model that doesn't suffer from the same problems as the black model for one very simple reason: there would be countless customers trying to exchange their phones for an unaffected white model. If Apple is going to do anything about the signal issue, it will be done concurrently with the release of the white model or almost immediately thereafter.

We trust you Bill Gates!

I'm waiting on white still. Even if it's delayed longer would be nice ofppif these issues were resolved.
