I noticed that the white iphone have a lot of small holes on top of the speaker/receiver beside the front camera?? How come the black one doesn't have the holes. What's the reason?? It's just the color right? but how come the the white one have it? It's very noticeable to me 'cause I'm really digging the white one.

look at 0:12 it's not very clear but if you look at it hard enough you'll notice..

It is the collection of sensors, such as the proximity sensor. The black one has it too you just cannot see it since it does not come through the black screen.

If you take a current iPhone out in sunlight, you'll easily see some circles around the ear speaker. These are the proximity sensor and I believe one is also the ambient light sensor (may be wrong about that one).

Because of the white coating with the white version, the sensors are most likely blocked, so they added a grille (the small holes) to the top for the sensors to sort of "punch through" figuratively speaking. These small holes look far more attractive than one or two other bigger black circles above the speaker.

I would say THEY ARE THERE on the Black 4's, just you obviously cant see them as they are black... :p Like its a lot harder to see the front camera.

those stupid little dots are what swayed me away from the white iPhone. That and the fact that I can't get one on thurs.

This is exactly why I think there are no white phones available.
While the sensors are the same, the white has that little window and the black does not.
Dumb move in the first place IMO.

It kind of makes the white phone look cheap, IMO. The more I see the black phone, with and without bumpers, the more I know it's the better phone for me.

Thanks STEVE!

I concluded this by logic, seeing as how so many people are getting so heated by the lack of white iPhones, apple didnt want their phone overheating

Well that 'vent' would be blocked by the thick layer of glass covering it.
